Coaches
All of our coaches at Diamond Creek Calisthenics Club are fully qualified Level 1 Coaches.
Laura Masci – Principal Coach; Tinies and Juiniors Coach
Laura has been involved in calisthenics for 22 years and spent all of these years at Diamond Creek Calisthenics.
Laura has:
- been performing and competing with Diamond Creek Calisthenics for 22 years;
- 12 years coaching experience across multiple sections and divisions;
- competed in the Royal South Street Society competitions both as a coach and a competitor;
- been involved in Pupil Skills as a qualified coach, and
- been involved in coach mentoring and education in Level 1.
Tanya Mears – Senior Coach
Tanya has been involved in calisthenics for 21 years and she has been involved at Diamond Creek Calisthenics for all of this time. Tanya has:
- competed in the Royal South Street Society Most Graceful Girl competitions 6 times;
- competed in numerous winning Royal South Street Team Competitions;
- been a member of several winning Victorian State Teams, and
- achieved her Bronze Medal.
Tanya also is a qualified Pupils Skills Coach.
Shalyn Bingham – Sub-Junior, Junior and Intermediates Assistant Coach
Shalyn has been involved in calisthenics for 25 years and spent all these years at Diamond Creek Calisthenics.
Shalyn has:
- been performing and competing with Diamond Creek Calisthenics for 23 years;
- 7 years coaching experience across multiple sections;
- worked with Tinies, Sub-Juniors, Juniors and Intermediates, and
- been working with the Sub-Juniors for the past 4 years.
Rachel Hughes – Intermediates Coach
Rachel Hughes has been involved with calisthenics for 18 years and with Diamond Creek Calisthenics for 5 years. Rachel has:
- been assisting for the past 4 years across multiple sections;
- been responsible for the Pupil Skills Program for the past 2 years, and
- competed in solo competitions for 11 years.
