Child Safety

Every child has the right to participate safely in sport.  Child safety in sport means protecting children from abuse, providing safe, quality experiences and empowering children’s voices.

New Victorian Child Safe Standards have come into effect to better protect children & young people, and to support greater national consistency.

Diamond Creek Calisthenics Club is committed to ensuring that children and young people who participate in its activities have a safe and happy experience. Diamond Creek Calisthenics Club supports and respects children, young people, staff, volunteers, and participants and has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of child abuse.

Diamond Creek Calisthenics Club will ensure that Child Safety is embedded into our organisation's culture, reflected in our policies and procedures and practised at all levels of our sport.

We are committed to ensuring that all coaches, volunteers, parents and performers understand the importance of child safety and are aware of their role and responsibilities in this area.

Together we can provide an environment where all children feel included, safe, respected, valued and empowered.
